Group Therapy
Group therapy involves one or more therapists who lead a group of roughly five to 15 participants. Typically, groups meet for an hour or two each week or bi-weekly. Some people supplement their individual therapy with attending a group, while others participate in groups only.
Many groups are structured to focus on a specific problem, such as depression, obesity, grief, panic disorder, social anxiety, chronic pain or substance abuse. Other groups focus more generally on improving social skills, helping people deal with a range of issues such as anger, shyness, loneliness and low self-esteem.

Couples/Family Therapy
Couples therapy can be referred by different names. Some might call it marriage counseling, relationship counseling, or family therapy. Often times the name changes based on who the therapist is and how they the completed their training. Uniformly, couples therapy is a form of psychotherapy that can help partners improve their relationship and communication. Yet for some couples, it can assist with the “break-up” process if partners aren’t committed to the relationship. If you are experiencing challenges in your relationship, you and your partner can seek couples therapy to learn more about the keys to relationship success.
