INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual Therapy is a confidential session to receive acceptance and support. The human experience comes with challenges. In a session, a client can receive assistance to process or talk out personal struggles that cause distress such as anger management, depression, anxiety, substance use, civil partnership and relationship challenges, parenting doubts, school difficulties, career changes, etc.
Individual therapy can be called different names depending on the therapist’s training or treatment preferences. It is not uncommon for therapy to be referred to as counseling, psychotherapy, talk therapy, or individual treatment. Yet, universally therapy is a treatment method through which clients work one-on-one with a clinically trained, licensed behavioral health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Therapy allows for a person to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to then work through challenging beliefs or weighty memories, verbalize parts of their lives that they would like to change, develop mindfulness and gain acceptance themself and others, set objective goals, and work toward meaningful change.
